Dove Tail
Product Description
This is a painting by Tamara Kapan titled "Dove Tail". It is painted with professional grade acrylics and gel mediums on wood board. It is mounted in crate style with custom hardware and picture wire.
I painted this wave using acrylic paints and chemically reacting iron paint to create a rusted outline of the artpiece. I carefully layered the acrylic so as to create a seemingly random bursts of color and texture. The original has a metallic gold skyline and the artwork is set on reclaimed particle board using screws that were soaked in salt water for a month to give them patina. This piece converges the urban with natural and comments on the human print on our environment. I painted a complimentary painting titled "Swan" to accompany this artwork. Both are available for sale.
